Global English

Nowadays, English is the unique language that has linked many people who speak different languages. Because of that, it becomes as a global language and therefore people have started to learn it to be able to deal with each other. So, many eastern countries that speak other than English languages have began to use English in their daily life. Therefore, English has been included in all their education levels. In addition, People in a work field use also English language in communication. From my point of view, English will remain as a global language and will not be affected by pidgin language.

People in many eastern countries, such as India and Malaysia speak English as a main language. Therefore, the importance and uses of that language became as much as their native languages or more. So, people have started to learn English by using many different ways. One of these ways is the media. TV and Internet are both the most two ways people use to learn English. As a result, English became so familiar there. Furthermore, other people started joining some schools, which focus on teaching English. Based on that, English language is considered as a global language.

Many people who speak English in eastern countries do not usually use a standard language. They just focus in using a simplified language in order to communicate. That kind of language is called pidgin language, which is a simplified form of speech that is usually a mixture of two or more languages that is used for communication between groups speaking different languages, and is not spoken as a first or native language. Regarding work fields, people do not usually use the pidgin language because of the different nationalities. So, Standard English language is required in communication. Based on that, Standard English language will not be affected by pidgin language.

In conclusion, it has been noted that the number of people who is learning and using English has been increase, so anyone who does not speak English will face difficulty in dealing with people. Thus, English will be the only main language, which connect people who have different native languages.

Marley and Me

Markey and Me is a type of a movie which combines both humor and sadness together. As John starts his new life, humor and happiness are obviously noticed. In contrast, the end is fulfilled with sadness because of the death of their dog. Marley is the name of their dog, who they consider as a member of their nuclear family. The two main characters in the movie are Own Wilson as John and his wife Jenifer Aniston as Jenny. In addition, the movie is directed by David Frankel and finally released in 2008 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0822832/).

The movie is mainly about John’s family and the dog Marley, who has been bought by John after he got married to Jenny. He grew so quickly and was a unique dog because of his bad behaviors. The movie also mentions about Johns carrier’s life. He is a successful journalist and then he promoted and become a columnist at Florida newspaper.

In conclusion, the movie just described how a couple would start their marriage life. In fact, they have made a plan for their life. One point of there plan is to have a dog, which most of movie story is about. I recommend watching that movie, because it pictures the right relationship between an owner and his dog. I am sure that you might feel so delight at the beginning of the movie, but I do not expect you will remain with the same feeling.

My Hometown and Seattle

Although my hometown Dammam and Seattle are two cities located in different countries, they are similar in many points and also have some differences. In this essay, I will state some similarities and a difference, which is mainly related to their locations, industries, crowdedness and weathers.
As a comparison between Dammam and Seattle, they have almost three major similarities. First, both of the cities are coastal, so they both have geographical locations. For example, Dammam and Seattle are both considered as important sea ports in their countries. In another words, exporting and importing is one of their important economical elements to those cities. Second, both of the cities have huge international reputation of having big industries in specific fields. For example, Dammam has the two biggest chemical factories in the world. They are both directed by Saudi Arabian Basic Industrial City (SABIC), which is a very famous in its field. In addition, oil crude production is an important feature in my hometown. ARAMCO, which is its headquarter in Dammam, is the biggest oil company that exports oil to all over the world. ARAMCO usually exports around 50,000 barrel a day. On the other hand, Seattle is very famous in airplanes and computers production. For example, Booing factory is the number one factory in the world that is specialized in producing airplanes. Their factories are focus more in producing passengers’ airplanes. Furthermore, computers production in a Microsoft company has a great deal of making Seattle as a famous city in technology sector. Finally, because of Dammam and Seattle are both industrial cities, they are crowded of people, who came from many different countries. So, Dammam and Seattle are melting point for many nationalities.

In regards to the differences, Dammam and Seattle majorly have different weathers. Starting with Dammam, it usually does not have four complete seasons like Seattle; it just has summer and winter. During the summer, the temperature reaches to 110 calicoes and in addition of that many sand winds hit Dammam, especially during midnights. Moreover, since Dammam is a coastal city, it almost has a long humid climate. People in my hometown use air-condition in order to adapt their self with the weather. In contrast, Seattle’s weather is almost cold and rainy. Hence, most of the buildings and houses do not have air condition system. In addition, it is rarely to have a hot weather in Seattle, even in the summer season. The maximum temperature in Seattle reaches to 95 calicoes, which is considered as the normal weather in Dammam.
In conclusion, Dammam and Seattle are two cities located in different countries. They are similar in some points. These points include location, industry and crowdedness as well as weather, which is vary between these two cities. Dammam and Seattle are almost the same in terms of industry and location importance.

'I am' Poem

I am optimistic and ambitious

I wonder when my chance will come

I hear my phone ringing and vibrating

I see my dream flashing

I want to know who is calling

I am optimistic and ambitious

I pretend to be calm

I feel my dream

I touch my chance

I worry about knowing who is calling me

I cry when my chance disappears

I am optimistic and ambitious

I understand that nothing is impossible

I say that I will do my best

I dream about my future

I try to be patient

I hope to get my chance

I am optimistic and ambitious

My Trip to the United States

Although I was excited to go to the United States of America, I started to get nervous while I was riding to the airport. In fact, there were two main reasons, which made me nervous. First, starting a new life in a complete different place. Second, leaving my family. While I was on the way to the airport, I noticed that the car was so quiet, and no one was talking. I just heard the outside noise, which mostly comes from the other cars. The only thing that had been said by my mother is “Ahmed, when are you planning to come back home?”. Then, when we were close to the airport, I was hearing her started to cry. I really felt sorry for her, and started to think to cancel my trip and returned back with them, but I decided not to do that as I remembered my father’s advice. After reaching the airport and while I was carrying my luggage, I noticed there were many travelers on a line looking to checking in their pieces of luggage. I waited about one a hour to do that. Suddenly, I looked to my watch and realized it is the time to say hi to my family and leave. At the time, I extremely got nervous. In general, I was in a sad mood as I am leaving them. Once I checked in to the airplane, my mood started to change. I felt happy as I am traveling to America. Regarding the airplane, it was too hot although it was not fully occupied, but after we departed, we started feeling good. In addition, most of the travelers seemed to be tiered and need to sleep. In 30 minutes there were a few people who are still awake. While I was looking through the window, my head touched the window, which was very gold, so I was pretty sure that the outside temperature is below – 30. After that, I was playing whit my I-phone and also watching a movie. In about 7 hours. The cabin crew asked to wear our seat belt, because we are reaching our destination, Frankfurt airport. As a result, most of the travelers waked up preparing their self for landing. After landing in Germany, most of travelers and I were too happy as we just reached our destination. But, in my case I do not really consider myself that I reached my final destination. Because, I had a connected flight to Portland, which probably take 10 hours flying. I became a littlie nervous again, because I was trying to find my flight’s time and its gate number. While I was looking for help, I suddenly meet a guy, who seemed nervous too. We started talking in English and then talked in Arabic because I realized he is from my back home, Saudi Arabia. Then, we both felt happy since we both had the same flight. Everything later became smoothly. No difficulties appeared as we were together trying to help each other.
