Eaid Alfater
Do you know what Eaid Alfater means in Muslim culture? Muslims all over the world calibrate one unique holiday. That kind of celebration is called Eaid Alfater. During that holiday, all Muslims should break their fast, gather for celebration and wear new clothes, especially their children.
The beginning of Eaid Alfater, which starts around 5:00 AM, Muslims usually wake up and prepare themselves to go to pray in mosques, but before doing that they should break their fast. The main reason for breaking the fast is to say that the wholly month, which fasting is required by Muslims, ended. Finally, dates are the food that our religion Islam recommends to eat at that specific time.
After finishing prayer, people start to gather for celebration. Most of the celebrations are usually done in patriarch’s house, so siblings are required to bring their wives and children to attend celebrations. Furthermore, since Eaid Alfater is a celebration day, a variety of chocolate and candies are distributed among family members. Moreover, many different foods are cooked too.
Children during Eaid Alfater have their own special enjoyable time. They usually feel happy because of many reasons. First, they usually get new clothes, so they get dressed up Arabian traditional clothes, for example Thoups, khotra and Ekal. Second, many children are given gifts, which could be either toys or money.
In conclusion, Eaid Alfater is a very and religious important holiday to all Muslims. That holiday is not only exclusive for seniors fathers and mothers, but children are also welcomed to express and enjoy their time. Breaking the fast, gather for celebration and wearing a new clothes are three main things that Muslims do during such religious and fantastic holiday.
